Summary
Conduct bicycle screen line counts at approximately 100 locations around Orange County. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) continuing its Active Transportation Counts Program (ATCP) to strengthen its database of bicycle activity across Orange County. Since 2020, OCTA has conducted annual “cyclic counts” to measure bicycle volumes. These counts are stored in the Bicycle Count Database (BCD), which supports project prioritization, policy development, funding applications, and performance evaluation. The 2026 project continues this effort, with continued data collection, consistency in methodology, and enhanced reporting.
