Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to provide Tree Trimming services at Honolulu Control Facility (HCF). The Contractor must furnish all necessary materials, equipment, and services to perform work under this contract. The Contractor must obtain written approval from the COR or CO for any contractor-owned equipment kept on FAA property.



TREE TRIMMING SERVICE REQUIREMENTS




  • Trees Involved:


    • Coconut Trees: 22

    • Shower Trees: 6

    • Mango Trees: 4

    • Monkey Pod Trees: 4

    • Kiawe Trees: 4

    • Banyan Trees: 45



  • Specific Tasks:

    • Coconut/Kamani nut Trees:

      • Prune and trim all Coconut trees where the trunks are under 6 feet tall annually.

      • Remove loose, dying, and wilted fronds, along with all coconuts.

      • Cut and remove coconut trees over 6 feet tall, including stump grinding and landscape restoration.

      • Cut and remove all Kamani nut trees, including stump grinding and landscape restoration.



    • Trees:

      • Prune and trim along the entrance and sides of the roadway and adjacent parking lot.

      • Maintain an 8-foot vertical clearance from the ground

      • Perform canopy cleanout by removing dead or dying branches.

      • Remove branches within 10 feet from any structure such as rooflines, stairs, or tower



    • Other plants

      • Remove dead or dying material.



    • Debris Removal:

      • Remove all dead branches and debris from trees near roadways, walkways, and solar arrays, disposing of it off-site.



    • Security Camera Clearance:

      • Trim trees near security cameras for unobstructed views.



    • Solar Panel Clearance:

      • Remove branches within 10 feet of solar panels.







WASTE DISPOSAL AND CLEAN-UP REQUIREMENTS




  • Waste Disposal:

    The contractor must maintain a clean work environment and remove all materials requiring disposal during construction. FAA dumpsters cannot be used; all waste must be recycled or disposed of according to State and Federal regulations.

  • Other Considerations:

    • Compliance with OSHA safety requirements is mandatory.

    • Work performed without FAA oversight may be subject to inspection at the contractor's expense.

    • Unauthorized work will not be accepted or compensated.

    • The contractor must protect existing facilities, equipment, buildings, and vegetation. Damages caused must be repaired at no additional cost.

    • The contractor is responsible for all necessary temporary protections during this time.



  • Security Requirements:

    • Employees must complete security forms for background checks, and a list of employees must be submitted within ten days of contract award.

    • Compliance with additional badging requirements may be necessary.
