| Description: | The City of Havelock intends to contract with a professional engineering firm(s) to provide services for the development of a comprehensive plan for a water extension to service properties along Miller Blvd and Lake Road, with the extension of services down Lake Road, beyond the Havelock Bypass for the purposes of growth and economic development. The length of service extension down Lake Road is anticipated to be around 3,000 feet. An evaluation of the existing water lines in the area will be required to assess what upgrades might be required to provide extension of services. Proposed development may include up to 1,200 residential units with accompanying retail, commercial and light industrial use. The City of Havelock is seeking the most beneficial and economical alignment, upgrades to existing pumps, and lines, as may be required. Firms responding to this RFQ shall provide documentation of their experience, expertise, and knowledge in conducting water system design and their ability to obtain required easements to serve the area. The resulting contract will be developed as a collaborative effort between the City and the selected Professional Engineering firm(s). |
