Lossing Street Intersection and Sidewalk
CITY OF FARMINGTON, ARKANSAS
The City of Farmington will be accepting bids for improvements to the intersection of Lossing Street and Double Springs Road, along with installation of sidewalk along Lossing Street, from Double Springs Road to Kimberly Street, along with minor signage and striping. Prospective bidders may obtain plans and specifications from the City Business Manager. Contact Melissa McCarville at (479) 267-3865 for further information including price of documents, available delivery methods, and shipping costs.
Bids must be received at Farmington’s City Hall, 354 W. Main Street, P.O. Box 150, Farmington, AR 72730, no later than Tuesday, May 5 at 1:00 PM. Bid opening will take place at City Hall at that time. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check on a responsible bank and payable to the order of the Owner, or a Bid Bond acceptable to the Owner in the amount of five percent of the total amount bid. The City of Farmington reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities deemed to be in the City’s best interest.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Farmington is an equal opportunity employer. The successful bidder shall submit a certification of non-segregated facilities prior to award of the contract, and to notify prospective subcontractors of the requirement for such a certification where the subcontract exceeds $10,000.
Neither contractor nor subcontractor shall exclude from participation in, deny the benefits of, or subject to discrimination under any program or activity, any person in the U.S. On the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex, nor discriminate on the basis of age under the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, or with respect to an otherwise qualified handicapped individual as provided in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, or religion except that any exemption from such prohibition on the basis of religion as provided in the Civil Rights Act of 1962, or Title VIII of the Act of April 11, 1968, shall also apply.
