Sealed bids for the “Reroofing of Four Facilities for the City of Dothan, project in Dothan, Alabama, will be received by the Finance Department, Room 213, on the second floor of the Civic Center, located at 126 N. Saint Andrews Street, until 1:30 p.m. on the date of the bid, and then from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. bids will be received in Room 203. Final bids must be received before the deadline at 2:00 p.m., April 22, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Commission Chambers, Room 203, second floor of the Civic Center.
General Description: The work includes approximately 217,000 sf of combined reroofing area on existing buildings at Criminal Justice Building, Family Services Building, Dothan Utilities Building and Doug Tew Community Center Building, with all trades incorporated in the general contract.
The Plans, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the City of Dothan’s procurement website https://cityofdothan.procureware.com. Questions pertaining to the bid documents may be submitted through the Procureware site under the Clarifications for the Bid section. These documents may be only used for the purposes of bidding and constructing this project. Anyone logging into the site for plans and specifications will be notified of all addenda by e-mail. All requests for information and clarification must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on April 9, 2025.
Prime bidders are required to attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on April 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., starting the meeting at the Dothan Police Department, followed by travel to each facility. Only proposals from bidders with registered attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference will be accepted.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Bids will be received only from Qualified Contractors duly licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors and meeting the qualifications indicated in the Project Documents.
