Abstract

Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), Delaware seeks to create a pool of vendors with deep expertise in evidence-based literacy instruction to conduct science of reading audits and provide technical assistance to educator preparation programs. This initiative presents an exciting opportunity to:
• Shape the future of educator preparation in Delaware by ensuring that all new teachers are trained in the most effective literacy instruction methods.
• Work directly with accredited educator preparation programs to strengthen coursework, clinical experiences, and faculty capacity.
• Support a statewide commitment to improving teacher quality through program alignment, coaching, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Contribute to meaningful, research-based change that impacts student literacy and long-term educational success.
Delaware is at a pivotal moment in advancing educator preparation, and DDOE invites qualified partners to join us in this critical effort. By collaborating with EPPs and the Department of Education, selected vendors will play a key role in ensuring that teacher candidates are prepared to deliver high-quality instruction that sets students up for lifelong success.
