1. The general description of the work is for the Contractor to provide all equipment, material, labor, supplies and supervision needed to properly prepare the existing asphalt surfaces at our basketball court and our tennis court (Exhibit 1) for placement of a coating new fine surface asphalt to restore the playing surfaces. The existing asphalt has been in place for several years and has weathered and cracked but does appear to maintain a solid base. The existing asphalt should be properly cleaned of any/all substances that could prevent the bonding of new asphalt, such as dirt, gravel/stone, paint, pollen, grass etc?SS1H (or equivalent) Tack coat should be applied to cleaned asphalt surface before placing new asphalt to assist in desired bonding between new and existing. The finished product from side to side and end to end shall be so level as to prevent water from pooling on the playing surfaces. **NOTICE** Information regarding the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers process for settling requests for equitable adjustments and duration goals to achieve definitization of equitable adjustments for change orders under construction contracts can be found by going to https://www.usace.army.mil/Business-With-Us/Partnering/ then clicking on ?View FFP Contract Changes Playbook Here?. 8 September 2025 - Amendment 0001 issued to remove the requirement for one (1) sealed copy and remove FAR Clause 52.228-11 Pledges of Assets (Deviation 2020-O0016).
