NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East (RPOE), Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4) intends to award a sole source contract pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b) to Baxter Healthcare Corporation located at One Baxter Parkway, Deerfield, IL 60015.
The VA Philadelphia Health Care System requires a COSMED Q NRG+ Indirect Calorimetry Device. This is a brand name only requirement. This device is needed to care for critically ill patients, both mechanically ventilated and spontaneously breathing. The device shall be provided for the Department of Veterans Affairs Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Philadelphia, PA 19104.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any responsible firm that believes it can meet the requirement may give written notification and capability statements prior to the response due date and time. Vendors shall indicate if they are the direct supplier or service provider of the items and/or authorized reseller/distributor. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirement and must include relevant corporate experience along with the applicable contract number, total contract dollar amount, contract period of performance, details of the relevant supply, and customer point of contact with corresponding telephone number and email address.
