The U.S. Embassy Ankara anticipates issuing a solicitation for the acquisition of Apple iPhone smartphones (brand name or equal) for official U.S. Government use at Mission Türkiye. Devices must be legally imported into Türkiye and comply with all Turkish legal and regulatory requirements, including International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) registration with the Bilgi Teknolojileri ve İletişim Kurumu (BTK — Information and Communication Technologies Authority of Türkiye).
The Government will accept exclusively devices imported by Apple Türkiye, registered with BTK, and covered by an Apple Türkiye manufacturer warranty for a minimum of two (2) years or better.
All devices must be new, original Apple equipment; refurbished, remanufactured, grey-market, or otherwise unauthorized products will not be considered. Delivery will be required to Embassy Ankara. Full technical specifications and submission instructions will be provided in the forthcoming Request for Quotations (RFQ).
All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. Please note that the response date in this synopsis is not final; the actual deadline will be specified in the forthcoming RFQ.
The Government intends to award the contract on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis, to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest-priced, technically acceptable quotation. Award may be made based on initial offers without discussions.
A pre-quotation conference is not planned. All instructions for quotation submission will be provided in the forthcoming solicitation.
