APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for systems that provide ballistic data and shot placement for use in small caliber (≤.50 Cal) testing. This preferred data must include bullet flight, muzzle velocity, accuracy, and muzzle energy. The system must be able to function with fully automatic weaponry. The equipment must be simple to use and require less than three personnel to function. The equipment must be able to function in an indoor range up to 50m. Equipment must be capable to export data to Windows computer; common software (i.e. Excel) is preferable. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined.
