African American Museum, Dallas (AAMD) Facing the Rising Sun Modernization

Project Description: The City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture (OAC), in partnership with the African American Museum, Dallas (AAMD), is soliciting proposals from qualified firms specializing in museum exhibit modernization, digital engagement, interpretive planning, and multimedia concept development to support the modernization planning of the Facing the Rising Sun exhibition at the African American Museum, Dallas (AAMD).
This scope represents the planning and concept development phase only within the larger TPWD Protecting Cultural Memory Grant.
This RFP explicitly excludes schematic design, architectural design, engineering design, construction documents, or any services categorized as A/E design under Texas law. All deliverables must remain at the conceptual, interpretive, planning, and digital engagement strategy level.
The intent of this contract is to generate a comprehensive exhibition modernization concept plan that positions AAMD for Phase II implementation
