4. Description
(a)Travis Air Force Base is seeking a dynamic and professional aerial demonstration act to be a featured performer at its "Wings over Solano" Airshow, scheduled for April 25-26, 2026. The requirement is for a complete performance package centered around a vintage MIG-17 jet.
The selected contractor will be responsible for providing a single MIG-17, presented in a historically accurate military livery, to perform a thrilling 10-minute solo aerobatic routine complete with a smoke system. The performance schedule includes a full rehearsal on Friday, April 24th, followed by public demonstrations on both Saturday, April 25th, and Sunday, April 26th. The pilot must be highly qualified, holding both an active surface-level aerobatic waiver and an unrestricted Level I Statement of Competency (SAC) card.
(b) The Government intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and award a firm-fixed-price purchase order. The award basis is anticipated to be based on the offer that conforms to all solicitation requirements IAW the PWS and represents the Best Value to the Government.
