Scope of Services
The purpose and intent of this term contract is to secure firm pricing for and establish a term contract for the purchase of 100% Fruit Juice and Juice Products, as specified herein. 1. Awarded vendor must be able to service all schools in Marion County. The Board reserves the right to delete or add any school from or to this bid. 2. The Board reserves the right to cancel this bid due to lack of funding or poor performance. 3. Approximate monthly requirements for all schools will average an estimated 800,000 packages of 4 oz. juice and 1,000 packages of 6 oz. juice. Annual usage is expected to be in excess of 8,000,000 packages of 4 oz. juice and 10,000 packages of 6 oz. juice. 4. The juice products are listed on the Proposal Form. Any additional unlisted seasonal juices offered by the awarded bidder may be considered for purchase at the discretion of the Marion County School Board - Food and Nutrition Service Department. 5. Shelf life must be no less than 10 days at time of delivery. The Board reserves the right to refuse any product delivered with a shelf life less than 10 days. 6. Please indicate any differences in specifications of the product on the proposal form. 7. Please indicate any differences in specifications of the product on the proposal. Samples are required if bidding an equivalent, and must be provided prior to bid opening date and time. Please refer to Terms and Conditions document, General Conditions, Instructions and Information for Bidders, section 16. Samples, Demonstrations and Testing, and refer to Terms and Conditions, Special Conditions section HHH. Delivery of Bids/Samples/Bonds. Prior to the release of this Invitation to Bid (ITB), a review of State of Florida purchasing agreements and state term contracts available under §287.056, Fla. Stat. (2025) was conducted to determine if their use would be economically advantageous to the District.
