Ice Machine, including Condenser, Ice Bin, & Installation, VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics Health Center – White City, Oregon (VA SORCC) Veterans Affairs



THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method and any possible socio-economic set-aside.



The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following supply items:

MUST HAVE ACCESSORIES OR OPTIONS:




  1. Ice Maker

    1. Brazed Line Sets.



  2. Must have: Condenser.



b. Tubing Kit.




  1. Must have: Ice Bin.



c. Universal Top Kit




  1. Must have: Installation.



INSTALLATION INFORMATION:




  • Must provide installation of new equipment.

  • Must provide installation of condenser on top of Ice Bin.

  • Must provide removal of current equipment.

  • Ice Machine

    • Must allow 24” clearance in both front and rear for proper air circulation and ease of maintenance/service.

    • Condenser should not be:

    • Ice Maker water supply line: Minimum 3/8” Nominal ID Copper Water Tubing or Equivalent

    • Ice Maker Drain Line: Minimum ¾” Nominal ID Hard Pipe or Equivalent



  • Remote Condenser

    • May be installed outdoors up to 55’ from icemaker using a pre-charged tubing kit.

    • Must be 208-230V/60/1 (Connection to Icemaker), 208-230/60/3 (Connection to Icemaker).



  • Ice Bin

    • Must be ¾” FPT Drain.

  • Must have Certified trained product line maintenance facility within 20 miles installation site.

  • Icemaker:

    • Must have three years: parts and labor warranty on the entire machine.

    • Must have five years: parts and labor warranty on evaporator.

    • Must have panels that are easily removed and all components accessible for service.



  • Remote Condenser:

    • Must have three years: Parts & Labor on entire unit.

    • Must have five years: Parts on: air-cooled condenser coil.

    • Must have five years: Parts on; compressor.



  • Ice Bin:

    • Must have five years: Parts & Labor





PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:




  • Must have compatible ice storage bin.

  • Must have compatible remote condenser.

  • Ice Machine

    • Must have individual crescent cube.

    • Must have Stainless Steel Evaporator.

    • Must have Cycle Saver design.

    • Must have up to 1938 lbs. of ice production per 24 hrs.

    • Must have durable stainless-steel exterior.

    • Must be Protected by H-Guard Plus Antimicrobial Agent.

    • Must have EverCheck alert system.

    • Must have no heat, less noise.

    • Must have CFC/HFC free foam.

    • Must have Operating Limits: Ambient Temp Range 45 - 100°F, Water Temp Range 45-90°F, Water Pressure 10-113 PSIG.

    • Must have Quiet operation.

    • Must be Improved efficiency: Energy saving.

    • Must be Weather resistant cabinet.

    • Must have View windows for inspection and thermal break.

    • Must have Pouch style insulated door for limited condensation while providing maximum access and minimal spillage.

    • Must have 6” adjustable stainless-steel legs.
