Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov).

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for, but not limited to, the following:

The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, incidentals, inspection, quality control, and supplies necessary to demolition existing asphalt walkways, concrete pads, picnic tables, grill, fire ring, benches, campground signage, existing bollards and chain link fencing, and clearing and grubbing.

Construction improvements include, but are not limited to the following; accessible concrete walkways, concrete pads, stabilized decomposed granite walkways and table pads, accessible campsite, tent pads, and installation of new picnic tables, benches, grill, fire pit, bulletin boards, site signage, trash and recycle containers, installation of wood bollards around roadway edge and replacement of chain link fencing on campground boundary, and installation of 6‐inch thick concrete dumpster pad with concrete block retaining wall.

Project location: Crestline Group Campground– San Diego County, Palomar Ranger District.

Travel north on I-15, take exit 46 towards CA-76 E. Continue on CA-76 for 20.5 miles. Take slight left onto S6 (South Grade Rd)/Palomar Mountain R. Continue for 6.7 miles, turn right onto S7 (East Grade Rd). Crestline Group Campground will be on the left.

Solicitation Number 127EAW24R0017 for this effort will be posted to SAM.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about April 22nd, 2024. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings, and other information necessary to submit a proposal for this project.

The solicitation will include all site visit related information.

Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be Between $250,000 and $500,000.
