The Great Plains Area Office, Aberdeen, South Dakota, intends to award a sole-source procurement to MCG Health for Indicia software for Standing Rock Service Unit, Fort Yates, North Dakota.

The purpose of the evidenced based clinical criteria is to satisfy the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS) and Conditions of Participation(CoPs) for a healthcare organization to have a utilization review process in place. Review and compliance with CMS guidelines for patients admitted to hospital facilities. This type of review is required by CMS. Lack of these services would cause non-compliance with CMS conditions of participation. The software product is vital for the performance and functioning of several departments within the hospital. MCG Health has proprietary rights to Indicia software.

The resultant contract award Period of Performance shall be Base Year Date of Award through One (1) year with Four (4) Option Years.

The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1)) was approved on 12/21/2023.
