ORIGINAL: This publication is a Request for Information (RFI) from DISA IE regarding the potential to implement a new communications service supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and authorized non-DoD operations in the State of Hawaii utilizing Commercial Service Provider Ethernet Layer 2 services to transport DISA customer communications to DISA Commercial Ethernet Gateways (CEGs).
The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research on the availability of Commercial Service Providers (CSP) with the capability to meet the technical and performance requirements of CEG in Hawaii and to ascertain if attendant cost savings and bandwidth improvements are likely should a CEG acquisition implementation proceed in Hawaii. Information obtained through this RFI will be used to determine appropriate strategies to meet the Agency’s requirements. The Government requests that prospective contractors complete and return a capabilities statement as described below to determine current ability to meet the objectives and requirements herein.
