The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District: Cape Fear Lock and Dam Security Fence, Bladen County, North Carolina
The Contractor shall remove and replace chain link security fence encompassing William O’ Huske Lock and Dam esplanade in Bladen County, North Carolina.
The work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Calculate and provide all labor, equipment, material, and hardware necessary to install 8’ commercial grade galvanized chain link security fence with angled 3-strand galvanized barb wire and double drive vehicle gate with typical closure mechanisms.
Lock 3 approximately 373’ minimum 9-gauge wire chain link fence.
Provide and install removable 6’x10’ chain link fence panels and posts flush with the outside of the lock esplanade walls at Lock and Dam 3.
Lock 3 approximately 200’ removable minimum 12-gage wire fence panels.
Salvage, Reuse and Recycle:
Identify anticipated materials and waste for salvage, reuse, and recycling. To the extent
practicable, all scrap metal must be sent for reuse or recycling and shall not be disposed of in a landfill.
Disposal:
Control accumulation of waste materials and trash. Recycle or dispose of collected materials off-site by the end of each day and in compliance with waste management procedures.
Restore all areas disturbed by construction operations to prework conditions.
The Period of Performance is 90 days after contract award. Work must be scheduled between 6:00AM and 3:00PM Monday through Thursday excluding Federal Holidays. Any work performed outside this timeframe must be approved by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
The work site is located at Cape Fear Lock and Dam Security Fence, Bladen County, North Carolina.
The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price.
The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 18 March 2024. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. This solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990 – Fence installation (except electronic containment fencing for pets), and the size standard is $19,000,000.00.
