Description

Services for herbicide application for the Little Owl North – Site Preparation on Tombigbee National Forest at the locations listed in the provisions, and in compliance with the terms, specifications, conditions, and provisions of this solicitation.



Locations are Compartment 3 Stand 1 (±60 acres) and Compartment 5 Stand 1 (±19 acres) on Tombigbee National Forest – Trace Unit as indicated in the map attached.



A buffer of at least 20 feet from the dripline will be applied to all existing mature hardwoods with an orange band painted at approximately eye level and from the stand boundaries of neighboring forested stands.



Chemical mixing rates per acre



Site Preparation mixture per acre applied at 10 GPA:




  • 6 quarts of glyphosate (4 pounds per gallon acid equivalent)

  • 1 quart of triclopyr 3A (3 pounds per gallon acid equivalent)

  • 1 pint of imazapyr (4 pounds per gallon acid equivalent)

  • 2 ounces of sulfometuron-methyl (75% active ingredient by weight)

  • 6.4 fluid ounces of non-ionic surfactant
