Description

Project Description:



This contract is for the construction of a liquid copper ion pesticide distribution system to treat the raw water system within the Oahe hydroelectric powerhouse. The desired Copper Based Pesticide (CBP) distribution system will consist of base mounted metering pump assemblies’ w/ PLC controller, flexible tubing, and stainless-steel rigid tubing with compression type tube fittings. Each dosing system will be fed from a central location where the liquid copper-based pesticide solution will be stored in a 2000 gallon, double walled, stainless steel tank. The CBP will be plumbed to injection ports (w/ injection quill) located in the upstream piping at the 10” raw water intake strainer at each of seven (7) generator units. As a part of the base bid, the raw water piping and valves upstream of the strainers will be replaced. This new piping will include new valves and chemical injection ports and fittings for other equipment such as flow meters.



The Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work 365 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, this is subject to change after IFB issuance.



Site Visit:



A Site Visit is scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit is provided in the solicitation via FAR Clause 52.236-27. The site visit is scheduled for 19 Sept 2023 at 10am CST.

The estimated construction cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
