NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE) will be soliciting proposals for a Child Development Center (CDC) located at Scott Air Force Base, IL.

As part of the construction contract solicitation, USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements:

Brand Name Sole Source - Trane Chillers - Manufacturer is required as they are the base standard for chiller systems.

Brand Name Sole Source - Johnson Controls – Required for combined fire alarm and mass notification system equipment as the base standard.

Brand Name Sole Source - Monaco Enterprises Incorporated (MEI) – Required for fire monitoring system as the base standard.

Brand Name Sole Source - Honeywell Vindicator Security System - Vindicator system is the only IDS/ACS alarm system for Scott AFB.

Only One Responsible Source - American Water Military Services Group – Required privately-owned water and sanitary sewer lines at Scott AFB.

Only One Responsible Source - Ameren Illinois - The only provider of electric and gas utility services for Scott Air Force Base, IL

*This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals; however, if any interested party believes that they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a capability statement to the point of contact listed in this Special Notice. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow USACE to be able to determine if the interested party can perform the requirement described herein.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 4:00 PM ET on 31 March 2023 to meranda.r.booth@usace.army.mil.
