Description

The CAFM system will cover three functional areas:

1. Space Management

2. Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Inspection

3. Un-scheduled Work orders

Specifically, this system is expected to perform the following:

1. Manage space assignment and utilization

2. Manage shared spaces such as conference rooms and patient exam rooms

3. Track on a real-time basis room occupancy

4. Conduct preventive maintenance of critical assets

5. Conduct periodic inspection of critical life-safety components

6. Track equipment breakdowns and personnel requests on facilities related issues

7. Share important drawings and other documents with authorized contractors

The proposed system must cover all the seven critical functions listed above. The system must be able to manage all seven functions in one integrated package. They are interdependent and having multiple systems will not manage the dependencies. For example, inspection of life-safety components is dependent on the functions in rooms that are being managed by the Space Management features of the system.
