This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, OR BIDS. The Indiana National Guard will be posting a requirement to add and replace fiber optic cable. The purpose of this posting is to determine availability of sources.
All of the following information is approximate and may be altered in the actual solicitation. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The Indiana National Guard intends to issue a solicitation in the near future.
Delivery/Installation will be at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Indiana.
The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following:
Currently the fiber that installed at FOB 3 within Camp Atterbury is multi-mode fiber. Multi mode fiber has distance and speed limitations. These limitations have significant impact on units training in this location. the fiber infrastructure leading up to this location is single mode fiber which requires several devices to make work. The goal is to convert FOB 3 to single mode.
Fiber infrastructure is also need at the Camp Atterbury Railhead.
Whether or not this acquisition will be set aside for small businesses is yet to be determined.
