Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Kansas City District (NWK), has a need for construction services to repair and improve channel resiliency for a full range of outlet releases, stabilize the channel erosion, and provide permanent access for future maintenance and repair efforts to the Kanopolis Dam outlet channel. This project involves repairing damaged riprap in the outlet channel and arresting ongoing head cutting downstream of dam’s stilling basin. Work includes construction of a permanent right-bank access ramp, a temporary access road in the outlet channel, left-bank slope stabilization, an outlet channel flow diversion system during construction, excavation and replacement of damaged grouted riprap, and placement of additional un-grouted riprap in the outlet channel. The outlet channel flow diversion system will be designed by State of Kansas licensed Professional Engineer.



In accordance with FAR Part 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.



The estimated period of performance for completion of the awarded contract is 279 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).There will be a site visit planned for this solicitation. The details to attend the site visit will be included in the solicitation.
