Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of Solid Waste Removal Services for the Federal Detention Center (FDC), located at 351 Elliot Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, 4 one-year option periods, and an optional six-month extension for renewal at the discretion of the government. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 562111 – Solid Waste Collection, (Size Standard of $47 million). This solicitation is a small business set aside.



The government will provide a roll-off, thirty-yard trash compactor/container, model SC-T2-30 and the Contractor will provide a truck capable of handling the roll-off thirty-yard trash compactor/container specified. The Contractor shall be responsible for the provision of all equipment, labor, maintenance, materials, parts, repairs, tools, permits, licenses, and fees related to the removal and disposal of the solid waste. Annually, an estimated fifty-two (52) pulls will be required. Removal and return of the container will take place every Tuesday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Access to the FDC will only be authorized during the assigned schedule pick-ups. Upon removal, all materials within the container become the property and responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor must ensure all containers removed from the FDC are cleaned when returned. In the event the waste is trapped in the receiving unit, the Contractor is responsible for emptying the unit. The Contractor shall be responsible for all spills and related clean-up costs if spills occur. The Contractor shall ensure dumpster container locations are clean prior to removing the container from the area. Services are required to be provided by the Contractor in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).



The solicitation will be made available on or about June 5, 2023, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available.
