The CIS enterprise environment is designed to fully leverage and support the Navy’s Rapid Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Insertion (RCI) Business Model which underpinned the TI/APB Process and Open Architecture (OA) principles to deliver improved capabilities in time-phased increments to respond to Fleet-validated needs. The SWFTS CIS environment will be part of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System (SCCS) and is a cooperative program with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
