This is a non-personal services contract for the FY24 PSTW Debris Removal of collected debris stored on three (3) barges and the quay/dock at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. Tonnage is estimated to be up to 1000 tons. Debris is stored on the barges and multiple debris removal events may be required to ensure enough capacity for PSTW debris mission effectiveness. Debris can consist of logs, stumps, root wads, snags, docks, floats, pilings, concrete items, timbers, used cable and rope, nets, tires, glass items, boats and boat hulls removed from Puget Sound and Tributary Waters. Some debris can also contain items which may be categorized as dangerous waste under Chapter 173-303 WAC, Dangerous Waste Regulations, and contractor will be responsible for segregation of dangerous waste according to the environmental protection plan (EPP). Some items might contain asbestos, lead, creosote, or painted wood and weigh as much as 20 tons.
