The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Fairmount Automation Inc., West Conshohocken, PA for Fairmount Automation’s G4 Design Pad family of controller models and accessories. The Government intends to make an award during the 4nd quarter of fiscal year 2024.
The contractor shall provide Fairmount Automation’s G4 Design Pad family of controller models and accessories. The Windows based configuration software licenses are required for the ship to communicate with the controllers. Engineering services are also required to contract Fairmount Automation engineers to work with the Government design teams to assist in programming and troubleshooting network interfaces. This is part of a follow-on procurement for this requirement.
Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), Fairmount Automation Inc. is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the Navy’s requirements for the specified effort. The proposed award and resulting contract modifications are for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
