STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS (SOR)
FOR
Operating Room Beds
GENERAL DESCRIPTION. Dwight D Eisenhower VAMC is requesting 2 new Operating Room Beds. The current beds were, at the time of purchase (2011), top-of-the-line OR equipment. However, with the nature of work that we do and the constant repositioning of the beds, some functions have worn out to the point that they aren t performing as expected or required. The OR bed is one of the most important pieces of medical equipment in the OR Suite. These beds allow for patient safety and comfort while allowing the surgeons access to perform various medical procedures and operations efficiently and safely.

SCOPE AND MINIMUM TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS.
The requested equipment must be electro-hydraulically operated.

The requested equipment must include 1100lb weight capacity, 18 tabletop slide, tilting abilities, and removable leg and head section.

The removable leg section must be lightweight due to repeated lifting and weigh no more than 14 pounds per AORN guidelines.

The requested equipment must include Anti-Collision Detection System, Backup Hand Control, and INTELLI-POWER Dual Battery/Main Power Modes.

The requested equipment must come with X-Ray Tabletops.

The requested equipment must come with 2 Anesthesia Arm boards and extra-long restraint strap.

The requested equipment must come with self-leveling floor locks for uneven OR floors.

The requested equipment must offer a color-coded remote control for faster identification of functions.

The requested equipment remote control must also indicate sectional collisions and suggest an alternative articulation.

The requested equipment must have a Dual-Articulating Headrest, meaning the headrest tilts and lifts facilitating improved patent airway management and improved lateral position for the head and neck.

The requested equipment must accommodate C-Arm for the following procedures:
Pacemaker/Linq Insertions, Cholangiography, Gall Bladders, Lung Biopsies, Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, Lower Limb Orthopedics, Urology.

DELIVERY and INSTALLATION SCHEDULE. 8-24 weeks following Receipt of Order. Deliver to Leavenworth VAMC Warehouse. Steris will uncrate new tables, ensure power is charged and perform an all-systems check. Complete STERIS 31-point start-up test to confirm performance. Verify floor locking, confirm tilt speed, ensure complete functionality, and verify no damage during shipping. STERIS will re-crate trade-in and haul away.

Must provide standard warranty from manufacturer
