THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOLICITATION AMENDMENT IS TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS FROM INDUSTRY, PROVIDE A TRANSCRIPTION OF THE VIRTUAL SITE VISIT, AND PROVIDE THE SLIDE DECK USED DURING THE VIRTUAL SITE VISIT.

Does the API need to collect data from Vista or the different pharmacy systems such as Omnicell or BD Pyxis?
No, internal VA data sources are not available to return information to API source; API intent is one directional receiving to VA side.
How is the API going to be used?
Please see statement of work.
Does the API need to maintain the HL7 messaging standard?
No, but the format and structure must be clearly documented for understanding of parsing (json, hl7, etc)
How many interfaces does the API need to collect information from?
No min or max requirement, but they must be valid data sources (i.e. not Spongebob Squarepants Drug Shortage Library database)
What kind of output is necessary from the API?
Please see statement of work for data elements requested.
While we do need more information to provide a response to solicitation, it seems like a custom development effort would better serve the needs of VISN10.
We look forward to reviewing any potential solutions vendors have to offer.

We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

This is a new contract, there is no incumbent or previous contract number.
