This pre-solicitation notice serves as a synopsis and is posted in accordance with FAR subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This is not a solicitation. Vendors should not submit quotes until the solicitation is posted to SAM.gov.

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) has the following requirements:

DoDEA requires hardware, software, control system and related curricular support for K-12 students to gain hands-on knowledge about robotics and to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. DoDEA expects to make three awards: one for TETRIX products, one for LEGO products, and one for REV Robotics resources.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541511 (Robotics Applications/Software Design and Development Service) and the applicable PSC is U009 Education/Training-General. Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting a quote.

DoDEA intends to issue solicitation HE1254-23-Q-0008 in support of this requirement. This will be a commercial procurement in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). This requirement will be competed under Full and Open Competition on SAM.gov. The anticipated award contract type is a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order Contract, and may result in a single or multiple award contract with a one-year base period and a one-year option period.

The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 20 February 2023, with a closing date on or about 27 March 2023. This is not a request for proposals or quotations. Interested vendors please add your organization's information to the Interested Vendors list under this post on Sam.gov. In order to be eligible for this award your company must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). See the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for detailed information.
