The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service is seeking a construction Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and daily supervision to accomplish tasks as outlined in contract documents. Contractor is also responsible for all necessary safety measures to replace electrical switchgear at the Dennis Chavez Federal Building, located at 500 Gold Ave. SW in Albuquerque, NM 87102-3118.
Project includes but is not limited to the design and replacement of the main 3000A 277/480V double ended electrical gear located in the basement level of the Dennis Chavez Federal Building. In addition to removing existing plaza drains above switchgear room and adding a new tapered insulation and waterproofing system and demoing and replacing of existing switchgear egress door and sink. The magnitude for this project is between $1Million to $5 Million. The firm must be a General Construction firm under NAICS: 238210, size standard: $16.5 million. It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 210 calendar days from notice to proceed. Award of any resulting procurement will be based on best value to the government methodology. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of New Mexico. The project will require work to be performed within an occupied Federal Courthouse while minimizing disruptions to the operations of the existing facility.
This is a 100% SERVICE-DISABLE VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The procurement is subject to availability of funds. All offerors are advised that this project
may be revised or canceled at any time during the sources sought, synopsis, solicitation,
selection, evaluation, negotiation, and final award.
This solicitation will be restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. The proposal due date will be on or about June 24, 2022. The date for a pre-proposal conference will be held on June 6, 2022. The details for the pre-proposal conference are included in the solicitation. Attendance at this conference is vital to the preparation of a competitive and cost-effective proposal and to understanding the total result desired by the Government. Failure to attend this meeting may not be used as an excuse for omissions and miscalculations in offers.
Prospective contractors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and support documents from Sam.gov website at www.sam.gov and monitoring the website for amendments, if any, to the solicitation. Once reviewed by the Contracting Officer listed on this notice an email request will be sent authorizing vendor access.
All prospective offerors are required to use the System for Award Management www.sam.gov for registering their firm and completing representations and certifications.
