The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District, featuring the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Louisiana Post, is conducting a two-day Industry Day event.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the General Industry Day will provide industry-specific information that focuses on active USACE projects in South Louisiana over the next 18 months, and is open to all interested contractors, large and small businesses, joint ventures, academia, as well as other Government stakeholders. SAME will facilitate the afternoon segment of this industry day.
Additionally, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Dredging Forum will provide a platform for collaboration focused on challenges and opportunities in the dredging industry. This forum is open to all dredge companies that are currently performing business in the New Orleans District or are interested in doing so and is not limited to the Mississippi Valley Associated General Contractors members.

The General Industry Day will provide opportunities for industry to meet one-on-one with USACE technical personnel for the outlined projects above via breakout sessions on a First-Come, First-Served basis, allows Contractor presentation time slots on a First-Come, First-Served basis, and renders the opportunities for Vendors and Professional Organizations to setup table displays on a First-Come, First-Served basis, as well.
The Dredging Forum will provide an opportunity for dredging industry leaders to meet with USACE senior leaders and technical personnel to discuss New Orleans District dredging projects and funding, and also to allow industry leaders to demonstrate assets available to meet the dredging needs of the district and the nation.
These events are free of charge. All attendees will be required to pre-register for the event(s) they plan on attending. A tentative agenda will be uploaded to this announcement mid-March along with the registration form and link, so interested parties should check SAM.GOV for future updates to this notice.
