Description
The Roche Diagnostics Benchmark Special Stains Analyzer requires periodic maintenance. This an
expensive and highly specialized piece of medical equipment. Roche Diagnostics maintains
proprietary rights to this equipment and its associated software and as such does not authorize third
party services on this highly specialized equipment. Due to the inherent costs associated with the
purchase of this equipment and the possibility of having to outlay additional costs to replace the
equipment, it is in the best interest and provides the best value to the Department of Veterans
Affairs and the WRJ VAMC to contract with the OEM.
