This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. A Request for Quotations will be posted on or about April 10, 2024. This notice is being posted concurrently with the solicitation to satisfy necessary posting requirements. This requirement was previously posted under Solicitation #36C24124R0044 with a Sources Sought notice.
The VA Medical Center Maine, Togus Campus has a requirement for a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. This project will involve repairs to the 4th Floor Mechanical Room floor, located in Building 207 at the VA Medical Center Maine, Togus Campus.
The Contractor shall provide Construction services to provide a solution to repair the cracks in the concrete floor, finish the concrete flooring and seal the floor penetrations to stop all leaking from the 4th floor Mechanical room in building 207. Work shall be consistent with the requirements of current buildings codes, industry standards, and VA standards.
All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access.
The Period of Performance for this project is 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238390 and the size standard is $19.0 Million. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under FAR Part 13. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs).
