STATEMENT OF NEED
ANGIODYNAMICS PRO LASER
Description of Use:
The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center is in need of (1) endovenous laser treatment system and (1) infiltration pump, which is critical for use in the Interventional Radiology section.
Objective
The Corporal Michael Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMCVAMC) intends to procure an endovenous laser treatment system and (1) infiltration pump for the facility s Interventional Radiology department. This document highlights the technical specifications and services being requested by the facility for consideration towards purchase of an endovenous laser. Vendors under this proposal shall provide all equipment and accessories, installation services, and project management support.
Minimum Technical Specifications:
The endovenous laser treatment and infiltration pump system shall meet the following minimum specifications:
Achieves optimal vein ablation
1470nm wavelength laser
Water-specific, diode laser
Targeted energy of 30-50 joules/cm
Maximum power of 15 watts
Easy-to-use controls
Ability to track pull-back through audible alarms/sounds
Ability to program the laser for specific fiber types
Internal sensors to monitor settings (eg. wattage, energy output)
Aiming beam has multiple modes
Real-time on-screen display of settings
Foot pedal
Pump that provides high-speed infiltration into vessels
Infiltrates up to 1,100 ml per minute, or better
Vibration free unit
Tubing can be easily mounted.
Emergency shut off.
