Request for Bids
Show Low City Campus Restroom
City of Show Low Project No. FM-6224
The City of Show Low is extending an invitation for bids for the construction of a Public
Restroom at Show Low City Campus, City of Show Low Project FM-6224.
The restroom is located in the Show Low City Campus, in the City of Show Low, 760 E
McNeil, Show Low AZ 85901. The work includes, but not necessarily limited to, the construction
of a restroom facility that will include three ADA accessible restrooms in a single building. There
shall be one separate men’s restroom with two stalls, one water closet and one urinal, one
separate women’s restroom with two water closet stalls, and a family restroom with a single
water closet and ADA adult changing station. There will also be a small storage closet with a
separate exterior door. The restrooms will also have sinks, paper and soap product dispensers,
and other necessary appurtenances. The building will be approximately 28’-0” by 13’-4” and 373
square feet in area. The City will extend power, water and sewer to within 5 feet of the building.
The contractor’s scope also includes the connections to existing power, water and sewer
services. The City has prepared plans and specifications which are available with the Bid
Documents on the City website showlowaz.gov. The City will Provide permitted plans.
A schedule of values will also be required as a part of the contractor’s bid. The contactor shall
complete usable and operable facilities in accordance with all pertinent codes and regulations
as necessary to complete the job in a workmanlike manner.
Sealed Bids will be received by the Engineering Department, City of Show Low, 180 N. 9th
Street, Show Low, AZ 85901 until Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 3:00 PM, The City of Show
Low reserves the right to select the bid that best suits the City’s needs and may modify the
Scope of Work. The City of Show Low also reserves the right to reject any and all bids not
deemed in the best interest of the City. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on
Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM at City Hall, 180 N. 9th Street, Show Low, AZ.
Bid Documents are available on the City website; Showlowaz.gov. Written questions will be
accepted until close of business on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Submit written questions to

Low, AZ 85901 or tjohnston@showlowaz.gov.

INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS
1. Defined Terms and Standard Documents
Construction and administration of this Project shall be in accordance with the
requirements of the latest edition of the following separate documents except as
modified and supplemented by these Contract Documents:
Attached Technical Specifications, the Uniform Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG),
current edition, and the current edition of the City of Show Low
Supplement to MAG Specifications and Details.
Terms used in the Instructions to Bidders are defined in the General Provisions,
MAG. The term “Owner” means the City of Show Low. The term “Engineer”
means the City of Show Low City Engineer, unless otherwise stated. The term
“Bidder” means one who submits a Bid directly to Owner, as distinct from a sub-
bidder, who submits a Bid to a Bidder. The term “Successful Bidder” means the
lowest, qualified, responsible and responsive Bidder to whom the Owner (on the
basis of Owner’s evaluation as hereinafter provided) makes an award. The term
“Bidding Documents” includes the Advertisement or Invitation to Bid, Instructions
to Bidders, the Bid Form, and the proposed Contract Documents (including all
Addenda issued prior to receipt of Bids).
2. Copies of Bidding Documents:
Complete sets of the Bidding Documents stated in the Advertisement or Invitation
to Bid may be obtained from the City of Show Low.
Complete sets of Bidding Documents must be used in preparing Bids; the Owner
does not assume any responsibility for errors or misrepresentations resulting
from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents.
The Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on
the above terms, does so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids on the Work and
does not confer a license or grant for any other use.
3. Qualifications of Bidder:
To demonstrate qualifications to perform the Work, each Bidder, must be
prepared to submit within five days of Owner’s request, written evidence, such as
financial data, previous experience, present commitments and other such data as
may be called for below (or in Supplemental Instructions). Each bid must contain
