PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Calimesa invites sealed bids for the Community Development Annex Remodel project and will receive such bids in the offices of the Public Works Department at 908 Park Avenue, Calimesa, California, 92320, up to the hour of 3:30 PM, on Thursday, the 2nd day of May 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A bid summary will then be prepared and posted for three (3) days. Award of the Contract will be made during a subsequent meeting of the City Council. Scope of Work
The contract work for this project shall consist of various items which include, demolition/removal/disposal of materials that will not be used in this remodel, removal and re-installation of office furniture, files including file cabinets and copier, removal and disposal of the existing carpet and pad. Tightening or filling in of the marriage line seam found lengthwise down the middle of the annex floor. Prepping and painting all walls (patching, texturing to match and sanding), furnish and install new crown molding the type and color to match the existing crown molding in the city hall, install primer coats of paint (2 coats) and semi-gloss final paint coats (2 coats). Contractor to coordinate for the installation of cubicles/partitions and counter with the supplier (to be furnished and installed by the manufacturer), installation and/or relocation of all electrical to provide power to cubicles, counter and copier, and convenience outlets. Installation of commercial grade carpet squares in the Annex and City Hall per the specifications and drawings. Unless specifically listed as “City Furnished” in this Scope of Work, all materials required to complete the project shall be provided for by the contractor, at the contractor’s expense. Scheduling is critical to minimize the disruption to the city staff, the City will discuss the actual timing/phasing for this construction project at the time of the mandatory job walk. Contractor shall take into account this phasing/scheduling in his bid proposal and no additional compensation will be paid.
