REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL - INDEPENDENT AUDIT SERVICES

The City of Foster City, (“The City”), is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to conduct the annual independent audit of its financial statements for three fiscal years ending June 30, 2023,June 30, 2024, and June 30, 2025 with the option of auditing its financial statements for each of the two subsequent fiscal years if agreed upon by both parties. The purpose of this process is to obtain competitive prices for auditing services. This Request for Proposal (RFP) describes the required Scope of Services, the minimum information that must be included in the proposal, and the evaluation and selection process. Failure to submit information in accordance with this RFP’s requirements and procedures may cause for disqualification.

The solicitation, receipt and evaluation of Firms and the selection of the provider of independent audit services will correspond to the following schedule:

January 12, 2023 ------------ Release of Proposals

January 25, 2023 ---------- Deadline for Submission of Questions

January 31, 2023 ---------- Responses to Questions Posted on Web

February 6, 2023 ---------- Proposals due by 5:00 PM

February 15, 2023 -------- Completion of Screening of applicants

March 4, 2023 -------------- Interview with Audit Committee (tentative)

April 3, 2023 ---------------- City Council Award of Contract (tentative)

This is a tentative schedule and is provided as a courtesy to potential proposers. The actual schedule may vary without notice to potential proposers. Any changes made to the closing date of the RFP will be made in the form of an addendum.
