PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

NOTICE INVITING BIDS: ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE AT

AT 7953 RANCHO FANITA DRIVE, SANTEE CA

WORK TO BE DONE: The City of Santee, hereinafter referred to as “City”, is requesting bids

for provision of all labor, materials, machinery, equipment, tools, supplies, mobility necessary

to perform Abatement of Nuisance at 7953 Rancho Fanita Drive, Santee, CA 92071.

BID DUE DATE: Thursday, December 20, 2023 by 2:00 P.M. in the Office of the City Clerk,

10601 Magnolia Avenue, Building 3, Santee, CA 92071. Late bids will be returned unopened.

Informal RFB DOCUMENTS may be examined and obtained on the City’s website at

www.cityofsanteeca.gov Bid Opportunities, requested from Jan Sherar, Procurement

Specialist, at jsherar@cityofsanteeca.gov , or picked up in the City’s Finance Department.

NO PRE-BID MEETING TO BE HOSTED:

BONDS: Bid Guarantee/Bond: 10%

Payment Bond (Material and Labor) Bond if the contract exceeds $25,000.00: 100%

LICENSES, PERMITS and/or CERTIFICATIONS: 1)State of California Contractor’s License

Classification C-21 and C-22 with certificates for ASB (Asbestos Certification; or 2) ASB

(Asbestos Bidding Only) and a HAZ (Hazardous Substance Removal; 3) Santee Business

License (upon award of contract)

SB854 and Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1: Contractors and subcontractors must be

registered with State of California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to be able to bid,

be awarded and perform this public works contract. Information about these requirements and

the new public works program regarding registration, compliance monitoring, administration

and enforcement of prevailing wage laws are available on the DIR website at:

http://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/PublicWorks.html

PREVAILING WAGE RATES: Yes per http://www.dir.ca.gov/oprl/pwd/

CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE: Yes, upon award of Contract.
