Description:

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits and fees necessary for the Building 16 Renovation - JFTB located at Joint Forces Training Base, 11206 Lexington Drive, Building 16, Los Alamitos, California. Work to include: The Contractor shall renovate Building 16 at JFTB, including replacing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, reconfiguring spaces, adding fire protection and accessibility elements, and addressing foundation concerns, while complying with California Building Codes and recycling suitable materials, and performing all work according to provided specifications. All work shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements of this Invitation for Bid (IFB).

The Contract Manager (CM) for this project is MSG Kendall, Bill, at Herbert.W.Kendall.nfg@army.mil or the Assistant CM LTC Flores, Francisco at Francisco.Flores@cmd.ca.gov.

Prospective bidders MUST attend the mandatory job walk on 4/17/2024, at 10:00 AM at Joint Forces Training Base, 11206 Lexington Drive, Building 16, Los Alamitos, California. Prospective bidders may obtain directions to the job walk site by contacting MSG Kendall, Bill at Herbert.W.Kendall.nfg@army.mil.

Prospective bidders MUST sign-in prior to the start of the job walk, attend the entire job walk and be present for roll call at the conclusion of the job walk. Bidders who do not remain for the entire job walk will be considered non-responsive and will not be allowed to bid on this project.

All mandatory job walk attendees, to include all subcontractors and suppliers MUST wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in order to attend this mandatory job walk. PPE may include (but not limited to) the following items: N95 Mask (depending on current county requirements or TAG directed guidance), hard hat, safety vest, closed toed shoes & long pants. PM or DPW will enforce any PPE requirements.

The prime contractor MUST possess a type B - General Building Contractor license.

The Government Estimate for this project is between $6,480,000.00 and $7,920,000.00.

All questions regarding this IFB MUST be submitted to MSG Kendall, Bill, at Herbert.W.Kendall.nfg@army.mil and LTC Flores, Francisco at Francisco.Flores@cmd.ca.gov no later than 4:00 PM on 4/24/2024.

If an addendum is necessary, it will be issued prior to the Bid Opening. The bid opening will be held on 5/8/2024 at 2:00 PM
