REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

COMMERCIAL JANITORIAL OFFICE CLEANING SERVICE

Summit County Facilities Maintenance Department is soliciting proposals from qualified commercial janitorial office cleaning companies. The best proposal will be selected for award based upon consideration of qualifications, relevant experience, schedule, and cost. At said time and place, all proposals that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who best meets the requirements of Summit County and the public interest.

The Summit County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities or informalities, and to conduct such investigations or negotiations as it deems necessary to select the most responsible and responsive proposal.

A PRE-BID MEETINGS All interested parties are required to email both Wayne Byrne
wayne.byrne@summitcountyco.gov and Kim Weier kim.weiers@summitcountyco.gov by no later than
December 6, 2023 to set up a one on one meeting.
PROPOSALS for Summit County Government will be received no later than December 12, 2023, by
2:00 PM MST/MDT in the Facilities Maintenance Department. Proposals are to be emailed to both
wayne.byrne@summitcountyco.gov and kim.weiers@summitcountyco.gov
Bid opening will be held December 13, 2023, at 10:00 AM MST/MDT at the Summit County Facilities
Department Conference Room located at 37 Peak One Drive, #238, Frisco, Colorado 80443.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS For Community Center:
Kitchen:
Sanitize floor on Thurs. On Mon - Tues - Thurs, all serving area walls
must be wet wiped.
Meeting Rooms:
Nightly: Vacuum, sweep and mop all floor surfaces including stage and
dance floor, remove all trash. Clean & sanitize all counters, appliances,
sinks, microwaves, and dispensing equipment, restrooms and stock all
paper products and soap dispensers. Wipe/clean all entry glass and
doors. All other services per normal schedules.
Timberline Adult Day Care - 3 days per week (Mon - Tues - Thurs) - clean bathrooms,
empty trash, vacuum and dust
ANIMAL CONTROL

Hard floors to be mopped, animal control staff will sanitize.

Toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap, trash liners stored in County space at MOB - Supplies are
not to be taken from Facilities storage.
Services to be done after hours. Conference rooms, if occupied, must be cleaned after the groups leaves.
Services are anticipated to begin January 1, 2024, and will continue through December 31, 2024, with the possibility to
extend the one-year contract into a 5-year contract.

7 DAYS PER WEEK NORMAL SERVICES. No reduced services as this
facility is utilized by the public 7 days a week.
Services to be done after hours. Conference rooms, if occupied, must be cleaned after the groups leave.
Services are anticipated to begin January 1, 2024, and will continue through December 31, 2024, with the possibility to
extend the one-year contract into a 5-year contract.
ALL employees scheduled to work in the facility will be required to go through a criminal background check before being
allowed on premises.
County Facilities Maintenance Department will be provided with the names of workers and confirmation that they have
cleared the background check.
County provides janitorial cart, toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap, and trash liners - contractor responsible for all other
supplies required to provide janitorial services.
CLEANING COMPANY DUTIES

Dust/Clean/Wipe:
All lobbies, entryways, stairs, elevators, reception areas, halls, office areas,
public meeting rooms, and copy/work rooms. Clean any obvious spills or
unusual messes in interior offices.
All entry way doors and door glass, reception desks and counters, tables and
counters in lobbies, meeting rooms, lunchrooms, and kitchen areas, sinks/faucets
in all meeting rooms, lunchrooms; all microwaves, inside and out, drinking
fountains.
