Fire Training Burn Building Repair Date Issued: May 23, 2023
Bidding Process: Hall County, GA Fire Rescue Department is seeking Construction Services for a turnkey project to repair the Fire Training Burn Building. This will include inspections of structural components, replacement of structural components to original specifications, and a timeline to complete the project.
Bids will be received in the Purchasing Department located on the 4th. floor at the Hall County Government Center, 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville, GA 30504, until 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time (EST), Friday, June 9, 2023. Purchasing will make a formal written addendum and publicly post the addendum if needed.
On-Site Pre-Bid: A pre-bid meeting will be held on May 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Fire Training Burn Building located at the 2801 Allen Creek Road, Gainesville, GA 30507. This will NOT be mandatory but highly encouraged to attend.
Questions from the pre-bid will be accepted up to Friday, June 1, 2023 @ 5:00 PM. Answers will be issued in an addendum by Monday, June 5, 2023 by end of day, if needed.
Bid Documents: A bid package may be obtained from our website (see below) select on the bid located under the header “Bids and Proposals” and then select “Request a Bid Package”. Once the requested information is received in the Purchasing Office a bid package will be sent via email. The website is as follows:

Firms must submit five (5) copies of their proposal; one (1) of which must be marked as “Original”, four (4) marked as “Copy” and one (1) electronic USB drive. We also request proposals be sent in a sealed envelope or a box clearly marked with “IFB #060-43 for “Fire Training Burn Building Repair.”
General Qualifications: Bidders must be in the regular business of providing services involved with construction and subject matter experts in burn buildings. This will be a turnkey project.
Bid Retention: Bidders may not withdraw their bid after the bid opening. Bids must be valid for one-hundred and twenty calendar days (120). The County reserves the right to retain all bids submitted and use any idea(s) in a bid regardless of award. The County shall have the right to waive any informality or irregularity of immaterial deviation in any bid received. All forms and documents entitled ‘Mandatory’ must be completed and returned with the bid.
All bid responses become the property of Hall County and will not be returned.
Bonds: Bonds will be required for this project. They must be issued before work may begin. Include a letter of bond ability from your company’s Performance and Payment Bond ability equal to 100% each (total of 200%) of the bid/contract award amount.

. No other contact of any nature, verbal, email, or other communication, is permissible with any County staff member, nor its elected officials, nor Commissioners, during the evaluation process. Such contact may render the submission in violation of the Official Code of Hall County and rendered as non-responsive. The bid response will not be evaluated for an award.
Award Process: The County reserves the option to reject any or all bids, in whole or part, or to select any bidder to complete the described Work. The County will award the project to one (1) company to perform all of the work on one (1) contract based on the best value to the County from a responsible and responsive bidder. The Bidder expressly understands that the County may reject bids for any reason without liability on part of the County to the Bidder.
Validation: Purchasing will only consider signed bid documents.
