This addendum forms a part of the contract documents and modifies the original drawings & specifications dated December 16, 2022.
Spec Section 133419 – Metal Building Systems.
Add: Red Dot Buildings, of Athens, TX as an approved manufacturer.
Item No. 3, from Addendum #1 adding Specification Section 23 61 10 was erroneously included. This Item is to be disregarded.

Any shoring necessary for any construction related work is the responsibility of the General Contractor. Design requirements for any necessary shoring are the responsibility of the General Contractor.
Any necessary tap fees are paid for by the Owner.
The secondary access road behind Lyman Hall Elementary School is private property of the Hall County School District and may not be used for access or construction.

ARCHITECTURAL CLARIFICATIONS
Work can occur during normal business hours, however, the existing building is an operating Boys & Girls facility, and Club operations cannot be interrupted. Contractors may not access the existing club during operation hours, and construction must be kept separate from Club staff and children. Any work necessary in the existing Club must be done after Club operating hours, or scheduled on days when staff and children are not onsite.
Any temporary power and water requirements necessary to construct the addition and renovations are the responsibility of the General Contractor.
The General Contractor will be expected to mobilize onsite no more than two (2) weeks following the Notice to Proceed. Construction is anticipated to take no more than twelve (12) months from the Notice to Proceed.
Attic stock items for finishes are to be furnished per the specifications.
There is no athletic equipment being provided by the Owner. The General contractor shall furnish and install the specified athletic equipment per the Specifications, and coordinate equipment weights and load requirements with the structural frame provider.
The Owner will employ a testing agent for materials testing and Special Inspections per the Schedule of Special Inspections in the Specifications. The General Contractor shall coordinate and schedule the testing agent and keep records of the inspection and test results.
Interior Panel Signage is to be furnished and installed by the General contractor per the Specifications. Assume a minimum of five (5) new signs.
Graphics for the Gym wall padding shall be included in the Base Bid per the Specifications. The Owner will coordinate desired graphics during the shop drawing phase.
Wall Padding shall be 72” high as shown on the drawings.
The General Contractor shall furnish the specified low-voltage rough-ins. The Owner’s vendor shall install data cabling, security cameras, etc. The General Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner’s vendor.
The exterior metal wall panels shall be furnished and installed per the requirements in Division 13 – Metal Building Systems.
Exterior metal wall panels identified in Division 7 – Metal Wall Panels are not used for this project.
There are no special tax exemptions for this project.
For bidding purposes, the Portal Frames indicated for the Pre-Engineered Metal Building shall be included in lieu of Rod Bracing. Additional review and potential Value Engineering for Rod Bracing will be reviewed after Bidding.
Architectural Clarification Item IV.3 from Addendum #1 is to be disregarded. Standing Seam metal roofing with mechanically seamed ribs per the specifications shall be furnished.

STRUCTURAL CLARIFICATIONS
Structural load requirements as identified in Division 13 – Metal Building Systems shall be utilized for this project.
The existing Fire Alarm is a Fire-lite Ms5UD. Devices specified for the new addition shall be connected to, and coordinated with this existing system. A new remote voice evacuation unit is to be provided in the new Gym. The new remote and voice evacuation unit must be interlocked with the existing fire alarm system.
BDA/ERCC SYSTEM:
A. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A COMPLETE BI-DIRECTIONAL ANTENNA (BDA) SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY RESPONDER RADIO COVERAGE (ERRC) FOR THE ENTIRE BUILDING. THE BDA/ERRC SYSTEM SHALL BE DESIGNED AND INSTALLED BY AN FCC CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN TRAINED ON THE SYSTEM BEING INSTALLED. THE SYSTEM SHALL COMPLY WITH UL 2524, NFPA 72, NFPA 1221 AND IFC. THE SYSTEM SHALL BE OF THE SAME MANUFACTURER AS THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. BDA SYSTEM DESIGN SHALL BE SUBMITTED WITH THE SHOP DRAWINGS FOR ENGINEER’S REVIEW. PROVIDE ROOF PENETRATION AS REQUIRED FOR ROOF MOUNTED ANTENNA - ROOF PENETRATION SHALL BE PERFORMED BY ROOFING CONTRACTOR - COORDINATE WITH ARCHITECT FOR LOCATION. CRITICAL AREAS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH 100% FLOOR AREA RADIO COVERAGE. GENERAL BUILDING AREAS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH 95% RADIO COVERAGE, OR AS SPECIFIED BY AHJ.
B. RADIO SIGNAL COVERAGE IN THE BUILDING SHALL BE TESTED NEAR THE END OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AFTER ALL WALLS, CEILINGS, ROOF AND MAJOR COMPONENTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. THE PRICE OF THE SYSTEM SHALL BE OFFERED BACK TO THE OWNER ONLY IF RADIO SIGNALS (WITHOUT THE BDA/ERCC SYSTEM) MEET THE COVERAGE REQUIREMENTS LISTED ABOVE.
The design intent for the new Fire Protection (sprinkler) system is that both the existing building and the new addition will be will be protected with a new fire sprinkler system. The General Contractor will need to coordinate any removal and reinstallation of ceiling tiles and grid necessary to fully install the new sprinkler in the existing building. Any damaged items such as ceiling tiles, grid, sheetrock walls, etc. must be repaired and / or replaced as part of the base bid.
