Sandy Bottom Road - Street and Drainage Improvements

Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of street and drainage improvements on Sandy Bottom Road in Pierce County, Georgia, funded through County¿s Transportation Invest Act (TIA) Local Discretionary Funds until 10:00am (local time), Friday, April 12, 2024, at which time bids will be opened and read.

The meeting will be held at the Pierce County Board of Commissioners Office and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Chairman Neal Bennett, Pierce County Board of Commissioners, 312 Nichols Street, Suite 5, Blackshear, Georgia 31516 Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Pierce County may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

The Scope of Work Includes:
Street and Drainage on Sandy Bottom Road from Jamestown Road to Cason Road. (Approx 1.09 Miles).

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of Pierce County in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for Pierce County. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.

The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Pierce County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.

All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of date work begins
