Nonresident contractors who are individuals or partnerships and nonresident corporations not already registered with the Secretary of State are required to register with the Secretary of Revenue and to file a bond to assure payment of taxes, if the total contract price or compensation to be received amounts to more than $10,000 (K.S.A. 79-1009, K.S.A. 79-1010).
