CIP PROJECT 9 SEWER REHABILITATIONS PHASE I
THIS ADDENDUM IS TO: ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS.
Q1. Is Flow data available for the pipelines being lined?
A1. No flow data is available for the pipelines being lined.
Q2. Are there any pump station upstream of the lining work being performed?
A2. Pump stations and force mains are shown on the plans.
Q3. Are videos available of the pipelines being lined?
A3. TV Inspection reports are provided as Appendix A and described in Section 00331, TV
INSPECTION AND MH INSPECTION REPORTS PROVIDED BY THE OWNER. Videos
of what was encountered at the time of the inspection may be seen by appointment, upon
request, during the bidding period at the office of Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc., 55
Walkers Brook Drive, Reading, Massachusetts 01867.
Q4. Will the City of Newton provide a staging area?
A4. Per Plan Sheet G001, Construction Note 38, “CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE
THEIR OWN STAGING AREA. NO STAGING OR LAY-DOWN AREA SHALL BE
PROVDED BY THE CITY OF NEWTON.”
Q5. On Wheeler Rd, is A005-70a to 69 getting lined? Highlighted on map but not on table
A5. Per Plan Sheet C106, Note 3 on the Structural Cured-in-Place Manhole to Manhole
Liner table, “A005-69 is a tee connection in A005-70A to A005-6 at STA 0+66. Sewer flow
from Sharpe Road connects to tee connection A005-69 from A005-110A. Contractor shall
bypass sewer flow from Sharpe Road as part of work. Bypass for sewer flow from Sharpe

Road shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be measured separately for
payment.”
All other terms and conditions of the IFB remain unchanged.
