I. Questions:
The following questions were submitted. The City’s responses to the questions follow in
Italics.
1. Q: Please confirm that the city will be responsible for removing anything attached
to the wall prior to the work (utilities, signage, etc.). Please confirm that contractors
will not be expected to repoint any joints that are obstructed.
A: The city will remove obstructions as needed.
2. Q: Please confirm that contractors will be required to remove and replace the
sealant at the expansion joints and provide a quantity.
A: Yes, all expansion joints need to be redone on that wall.
3. Q: Please confirm that no other joint sealant work is in the scope of this project,
e.g. window caulking, caulking around utility openings, etc.
A: Any sealant work needed on the side of the building being worked on
should be done under this project.
4. Q: Will contractors be responsible for setting up protection of the windows for the
repointing portion of the work?
A: Yes.
5. Q: Are there any noise restrictions?
A: This work is being done at an operating business, noise is expected but
the employees in the building need to also be able to work.

6. Q: Please provide the pre-bid meeting sign in sheet.
A: See Addendum #3.
7. Q: Will contractors be required to keep the entrances open? Will we need to
provide overhead protection at the entrances?
A: Yes, the entrances must remain accessible, if that requires overhead
protection then it must be provided by the contractor.
8. Q: What are the warranty terms on this project?
A: 1 year quality of work guarantee.
9. Q: Please provide a sample contract.
A: There is not a sample contract available.
10. Q: What is the load capacity of the lower roof?
A: We do not have that information.

addendum, you may request in writing your bid be returned to you.
