The Town of Chapel Hill (“Town”) is seeking a development partner (“Partner”) interested in developing affordable housing on an 8-9 acre portion of Town-owned property located at 1714 Legion Road and 1501 Ephesus Church Road (PIN: 9799-55-5951 and 9799-547-762) (“Site”). This Site is envisioned as a rare opportunity to address a range of community needs related to affordable housing, recreation, and climate resilience on 48 acres of Town land. Contemplated uses have included a world-class park with both active and passive recreation, the preservation of existing natural areas, as well as affordable housing.
All submittals are due by 3:00PM on October 11, 2023 to Zakia Alam, Purchasing and Contracts Manager: zalam@townofchapelhill.org , with “Affordable Housing Development Services RFQ” in the subject line. Email attachments are limited to 20 MB per email.
Submissions received after this date and time will not be considered.
Questions must be submitted via email no later than 5:00 PM on September 13, 2023 to Emily Holt at eholt @townofchapelhill.org . Written responses to all questions received in writing by the due date will be published by September 20, 2023 in the form of an addendum on the Town’s website at www.townofchapelhillorg (Click on Businesses, “Bid Notices” option, then the name of this project).
The Town of Chapel Hill reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
