Intersection Improvements at North Street / MLK Jr Blvd / North Columbia Street

This is a re-bid. Pursuant to Section 143-129 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, sealed proposals for the Intersection Improvements at North Street / M.L.K Jr. Boulevard / North Columbia Street (the “Project") to be furnished to the Town of Chapel Hill, N.C. will be received by Zakia Alam, Purchasing and Contracts Manager, at the Town Hall in Conference Room #102, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill, N.C., until Monday, October 16, 2023 at 3:00 PM, at which time they will be opened and publicly read. Please allow extra time for parking, as it may be necessary to park at the 205 N. Columbia Street parking lot located 2 blocks from the Town Hall, or at alternative locations.

Prospective bidders may view the plans and specifications for the proposed project on the Town of Chapel Hill website ( www.townofchapelhill.org . Click on “Businesses” menu, then “Bid Notices” option, then the name of this project).

An optional pre-bid conference will be held on September 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Large Conference Room at the Public Works Building, located at 6850 Millhouse Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. All potential bidders are hereby notified that attendance at the optional pre-bid conference is not required for bid submittal.

The Project Manager for this project is Roger Henderson, P.E., AICP, Public Works - Traffic, Town of Chapel Hill. All requests for interpretations related to this RFB must be submitted in writing to the Project Manager at rhenderson@townofchapelhill.org by 5:00 PM on October 2, 2023. All responses to timely submitted requests for interpretations will be published in the form of an addendum on the Town’s website on October 3, 2023.
